Your spa day deserves a perfect day around it.
We’re lucky to live and work along the Yampa River, and our guests often ask the same question right after they book: “What else should we do nearby?” Here are the spots we love for before and after your visit.
- Beard & Braid (116 9th Street). A charming little shop for coffee, tea, and a quick breakfast.
- Off the Beaten Path Bookstore (68 9th Street). An independent bookstore with a coffee bar. Come early, grab a pastry, and leave with something to read in the relaxation room.
- Yampa Valley Kitchen (207 9th Street). A breakfast and lunch spot with a lovely courtyard. We recommend reserving ahead. Their champagne mimosas set up is impressive!
- Seedz (1117 Lincoln Ave). Flavorful American and Asian fusion, healthy wraps, salads, bowls, smoothies, comfort foods and more - all seasonally fresh!
Once you’re relaxed and glowing, you can walk to dinner without moving your car.
- Aurum Food & Wine (811 Yampa Street). Latin-inspired plates and cocktails in an elevated setting. A good pick for date night or a girls’ dinner. Great happy hour choice!
- Primrose (1110 Yampa, next door to Waterside). Fresh seafood, dry aged steaks, craft cocktails, an upscale, romantic dinner option downtown.
- Mountain Tap Brewery (910 Yampa Street). Local beers and wood-fired pizzas on a patio.
- Brass Kitchen & Bar (700 Yampa Street). Another well-loved choice for an evening out.
Lincoln Avenue is made for wandering. You’ll find vintage finds, Western wear, local treats, gifts, and outdoor gear. It’s a nice way to fill the hour before or after your appointment, and a good place to find a thank-you gift for whoever is watching your dog back home.
That’s a day well spent!
Book your spa time first, then plan the rest around it. Restaurants and treatment times fill up, especially on winter weekends.
